As many of you already know, I am a huge Hello Kitty fan.  That said, I am beyond excited about all the cool collabos and products that are being launched in honor of her 35th anniversary this year.

I just got the heads-up on the new ASICS and HELLO KITTY limited edition sneaker collaboration that hits stores in September…totally 80s fab (although I still refuse to wear acid-washed jeans).

The red “Pattern” design will be sold at sanrio.com and select Sanrio stores, but the black “Casino” version (above) will be stocked only at the Sanrio Luxe boutique in Times Square.  A third design will be unveiled in October.  All kicks are $145.

For your edification, some of my favorite Hello Kitty factoids:

1.  Hello Kitty is not a cat.  She is a little girl.
