part of being the best me I can be this year means doing things I enjoy….for example snowboarding, volunteering with animimals, and doing as much TV and video as possible — even if only from the toasty comfort of my living room. stay-at-home hosting gigs, here I come…

Hi all,
Usually my blog posts are my latest video posts or fashion musings, but I have been remiss in posting ANYTHING lately…not because I don’t LOVE my blog and my super-cute website, but because I have been so insanely busy.
Traveling every week for work (I’m SO not complaining! I am freelance, after all), Fashion Week, TV segments galore (am taping The View tomorrow…tune in when the segment airs on Friday, October 9th), and my new gig as Editor in Chief of PinkMemo.com — not to mention a few other side projects here and there — have kept me running non-stop.

This is my new blog section called “wardrobe notes” where I share all my glam — and not so glam! — behind-the-scenes fashion details.

Here’s the skinny on today’s look from The Early Show on CBS (check out yesterday’s debut WARDROBE NOTES post!):
Designer: Michael Kors navy blue silk chiffon peasant dress
The Score: I bought it for about 70% off retail price at the Michael Kors sample sale in March. The original price tag was $1,995!
History: The original walked the runway for Spring 2008 (and I remember loving it the moment I saw it in the show), but today marked my dress’ debut.
Accessories: Bottega Veneta wooden-heel sandals (scored them at the outlet in Palm Springs last year), gold hoop earrings and a gold bangle bracelet.
Afterthoughts: Great TV dress! Comfortable but girlie and elegant. Camouflaged the microphone incredibly well, kept me warm in the chilly studio, didn’t need top-stick to avoid wardrobe malfunctions. I chose to cover my shoulders this morning, but perhaps next time I’ll go for the racier look.
